We are currently in search of an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee a market of DE, MD, VA, DC and PA locations. The Compliance Manager (CM) at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and its subsidiaries oversees the compliance program, serving as an independent and objective entity that reviews and evaluates compliance issues within the organization.
This role ensures that Kolmac staff and locations adhere to regulatory rules and regulations, follow company policies and procedures, and uphold the company’s Standards of Conduct. The CM provides training and conducts inspections at clinic locations to uphold quality assurance standards in the OTP (Opioid Treatment Program) as well as in IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) and OP (Outpatient) care modalities.
Additionally, the CM directs compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution, serves as an internal resource for communication when other formal channels have been exhausted, monitors and reports on the results of the company’s compliance and ethics efforts, and advises the Board and senior management team on compliance matters.

This position is also responsible for implementing necessary actions to ensure the effectiveness of the compliance program.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and renewing licensure for all current Kolmac and CCG facilities and for the application for licensure for new facilities
  • Ensures all licensed employees maintain current licensure, following up with them as licenses are due to expire to ensure renewal is completed. Tracks the completion of additional state licensure for clinicians and medical staff
  • Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manages day-to-day operation to assure activities in all company programs and facilities in accordance with state and CARF regulations
  • Develops and periodically reviews and updates Kolmac’s Standards of Conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees
  • Collaborates with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consults with legal authorities as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues
  • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and the Kolmac Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations
  • Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved
  • Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends
  • Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
  • Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
  • Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required
  • Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization
  • Works with the Human Resources Department and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers
  • Monitors the performance of the Compliance Program and relates activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
  • Provides training and inspections for Opioid Treatment Programs and Outpatient Services for quality assurance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Opioid Treatment Program, as a clinician, Clinical Supervisor, or Program Manager
  • Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must
  • Previous experience with DEA Compliance and Inspections, CARF Compliance and Inspections

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,000 to $95,000.00. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, licensure, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
