Description:
RiverTech is seeking a skilled Insider Threat Security Specialist to support the Joint Staff Security Office (JSSO) in providing comprehensive security services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting information, assets, personnel, and facilities from internal threats.This position involves developing, implementing, and managing programs and policies designed to identify, prevent, and mitigate insider threat risks while ensuring compliance with Federal, DoD, and organizational directives. Responsibilities:
- Prevent, detect, deter, identify and mitigate insider threats to JS information or assets, including personnel and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, DoD, and JS directives while implementing appropriate security safeguards to protect against insider threat actions.
- Develop, implement, and conduct specialized training programs for security personnel, including annual and refresher training, while tracking completion status.
- Prepare and deliver briefings and tailored security briefings, including computer-based and in-person sessions, tailored to specific audiences such as security representatives and technical personnel.
- Draft supplementary security materials such as reports, memorandums, newsletters, handouts, and brochures.
- Develop and maintain records-handling procedures, ensure records retention, document insider threat matters, and support oversight reviews for policy compliance.
- Assist with Foreign Disclosure activities by assessing recipient eligibility, need-to-know requirements, and safeguarding capabilities; identifying appropriate information-sharing guidelines; applying accurate release markings; coordinating with originators; and ensuring compliance with JS policy CJCSM 5230.01 in alignment with national standards.
- Provide administrative support services, including office management, task management, executive support, and SharePoint management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a respective field of expertise.
- TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Certifications required: Both the National InT Task Force (NITTF) Hub Operations Course AND the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) InT 312 Course, OR the Certified Counter InT Program Fundamentals (CCITP-F) certification.
- Must possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Government Security Programs and skills in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements for which they support.
- Excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to review, analyze, and resolve complex issues.
Pay Range (The pay range for this job level is provided as general guidance only, and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements (if any), and other laws): $83,492.83 - $142,213.65
