Job Summary:
Big Bolt is seeking a highly skilled candidate to join our team as a Machine Operator. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role involves operating automatic and hand-feed fastener drilling machines. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of factory experience and a solid understanding of manufacturing fasteners.
What You Will Do:
- Tooling Setup: Set up and change tooling as needed.
- Shift Work: Comfortable working 8 to 12-hour shifts, standing throughout.
- Production: Move parts to the next production stage.
- Inspection: Perform first piece, in-process, and final piece inspections.
- Mathematical Skills: Apply basic math during the setup process.
What You Will Need:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: At least 1 year of machine operating experience (required)
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the fastener industry is desirable but not required—an eagerness to learn is essential.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and use a caliper, micrometer, and blueprints.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanically inclined with strong logical and mathematical skills.
- Work Ethic: A strong commitment to quality work.
