POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Director the Talent Acquisition Partner will have the unique opportunity to step into the world of NYC non-profits and drive all aspects of the recruiting life cycle. The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for managing requisitions across the agency including sourcing, interviewing, and recommending candidates to join our teams.

In partnership with assigned hiring managers the Talent Acquisition Partner will forecast staffing needs, develop candidate pipelines, source, market and attract talent to foster the mission of the organization. They will formulate strategy considering internal and external candidates to acquire talent to fill open roles.
They will become an expert on our company culture, operating model, and the industry in which we operate. As an ambassador for our company, the Talent Acquisition Partner will cultivate strong customer relationships with both the hiring managers and candidates.

Using their behavioral interview techniques and creative recruitment strategies they will build a pipeline of highly qualified candidates and refer them internally for employment opportunities within The Jewish Board.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drives top of funnel engagement of potential candidates for a combination of high volume and high priority positions within our organization
  • Partners with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs by reviewing regular attrition rates, new business plans and potential retirements.
  • Develops creative strategies to acquire talent to assure vacancies are kept to facility specified levels, new and expanding programs are staffed for opening dates, and retirement replacement plans are executed
  • Exudes expertise and articulates the business line and market positions to potential candidates.
  • Uses an intake process with hiring managers to develop a recruitment plan per the agency SOP for recruitment.
  • Sources and recruits to develop candidates. Masters pre-closing candidates during candidate intake.
  • Using Behavioral Interviewing techniques, interviews, resumes, credentials reviews and assessments, determines candidates who are a mission fit, meet the minimum knowledge, skills and abilities to be a good fit for the position.
  • Ensure assessments are completed and reflective of the quality hire expected to meet competencies
  • Thoroughly evaluate candidates, prepare written summaries, and present candidates in an accurate and detailed manner.
  • Prepares and extends the job offer. Anticipates counter offers as necessary.
  • Maintains knowledge of benefit plans, incentives and corporate and facility policies and addresses applicant inquiries.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of candidate progress in applicant tracking system.
  • Use sound business judgment and common sense when approaching obstacles and solving problems during candidate searches.
  • Collect and process data around recruitment to identify trends and be able to report them HR and program leadership.
  • Formulate position-specific recruitment metrics in order to provide program leadership with quantifiable measures of employee turnover.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, HS Diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:

  • 2+ years total HR/TA experience
  • An understanding of creative sourcing strategies to find quality candidate
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of developing and managing relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Solution oriented, analytical problem-solver; Proactive, positive, deliberate, and focused thinker.
  • High Emotional Intelligence.
  • Certification in Talent Acquisition through HCI, NAHCR, RACR, a plus
  • HR Certification through HCI or SHRM, a plus

COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excels in social networking and internet vehicles and tools such as emails, search engines, social media, blogs job boards
  • Possesses a high degree of competency with sourcing tools across multiple platforms for various levels of roles
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Skilled in leveraging HR technology to support business decisions (Dayforce preferred)

VISUAL AND MANUAL DEXIERITY:

  • The candidate should be able to read documents for analytical purposes such as computer information, software, computer graphic design programs, etc.
  • Limited applications of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • The work environment involves no physical risk or hazardous conditions.
  • To perform the essential functions of this job, the candidate is routinely required to sit ( 75% of the time) and stand ( 25% of the time)
  • Occasional travel throughout NYC for career fairs and hiring events
  • This role is hybrid eligible
