responsibilities:
- Perform specimen handling, processing, and analysis following established laboratory procedures
- Review and release accurate test results in compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety protocols
- Maintain laboratory quality control, perform instrument calibration, and document maintenance activities
- Identify and resolve test system issues, documenting corrective actions as needed
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures
- Report STAT or critical results promptly and accurately to clients
- Maintain proper documentation of all test procedures and results in laboratory systems
- Assist with training and procedural updates as required
Education & Certification:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology
- Accepted: Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- Candidates meeting 42 CFR 493.1433 (March 14, 1990) criteria are eligible
- Foreign-educated candidates: Must provide a credential evaluation from IERF
- U.S.-educated candidates: Must submit an original transcript
- Certification: MT/MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) preferred or eligibility required
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing
- MUST HAVE blood bank or blood center experience
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work in multiple lab systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced lab environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze test results accurately
- Effective communication and customer service skills for client interactions
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and data security

- Fri-Sun (10:30 PM
- 7:00 AM, 40 hrs/week)
