As we continue to expand, we are excited to invite a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team for West side of Cuyahoga County. As a Physical Therapist Assistant at VNA of Ohio, you will be an essential member of our care team, working under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to implement and carry out physical therapy treatment plans. Your role will directly impact patients’ rehabilitation, mobility, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, mechanical traction, massage, and other modalities such as heat, cold, water, and electricity.
  • Measure and adjust assistive devices (walkers, crutches, canes, wheelchairs) and provide patients with instructions on their use and care.
  • Adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and document any significant changes in patient status, following the guidelines set by the supervising Licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care, progress, and administrative tasks, including reports, schedules, and caseload cards.
  • Communicate any concerns regarding treatment progress or changes in patient conditions to the supervising Licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate effectively with the care team and provide compassionate support to patients and families.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Associate’s Degree approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Home care experience preferred
  • Licensing/Certifications:
  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Ohio.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
