Staff Accountant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. This role focuses on maintaining and managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This position operates in a traditional office setting.

• Assist in managing the general ledger and post all journal entries
• Support the Director of Finance in day-to-day tasks and long-term projects
• Play an integral role in the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Handle bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes
• Update and maintain financial data and records
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports
• Provide support to the finance team as required
• Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Ability to manage and maintain General Ledger
• Expertise in creating Journal Entries
• Experience in performing Month End Close tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of accounting software and systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Excellent analytical skills.
