Fire Chief
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Ideal candidates will have previous knowledge and follow the Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies

As a team member and leader of the fire services team, you will play a crucial role in protecting lives and property by responding to emergencies and providing assistance in various capacities. This physically demanding and rewarding position requires quick thinking, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure.
The Fire Chief position reports directly to the Marksman on-site Emergency Services Manager and the Marksman Regional Director of Operations.
The fire services team operates from one firehouse located on-site:
Administrative Staff:
One Fire Chief
One Fire Training Captain
Three rotating shifts consisting of:
Three Captains
Three Lieutenants
Nine Firefighter/EMTs
Three Firefighter/Paramedics
Fire Services Apparatus:
Two fire service SUVs
One Brush Truck
One Rescue Engine
One 100 – foot Ladder Truck
One Ambulance

Qualifications:
Essential Functions:
- Oversee and supervise the daily operations of the fire services
- Oversee the development of specifications and recommendations for operational apparatus, equipment, and facilities
- Monitor daily emergency response performance of operational units
- Establish goals and objectives
- Participate in the development and administration of the fire services budget
- Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Follow the Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies
- Maintain compliance with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism and Foreign Trade Zone (where applicable)
- Completes incident reports as required
- Responds to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to Emergency Response Plan and Standardized Operating Procedures and Medical Director Protocols
- Performs routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm/fire suppression/and security equipment
- Maintains compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate
- Perform other duties as assigned
Compensation:
$85,000 Annually
Monday – Friday
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of paid fire service experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Certified Basic Structure Fire Protection by the Texas Commission of Fire Protection
- NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
- Current driver’s license
- Pass an NFPA 1582 physical examination and drug test
Preferred:
- EMS certification
- Fire Officer IV certification or equivalent
- Experience as a Battalion Chief or comparable
