As a NANA Shareholder intern, you will gain exposure to a wide range of technical and operational opportunities. You will also acquire critical insight into our company and our industry, as well as have the chance to develop valuable networking connections, which will help prepare and develop your skills for future career opportunities.
Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Summer Intern. This intern is responsible for assisting with general administrative tasks in support of multiple ongoing projects. Duties may include, but not be limited to the following:
NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.” You must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational school

Responsibilities:
- Will be assisting project managers on our Army Radio Hardware Integration Kits and NIWC Interior Communications programs
- Assists in managing project files so that the Project Manager can easily always access needed data. This includes tracking contracts status, financials, and logistics information related to projects
- Assists the warehousing team with daily or weekly inventory functions as required
- Receives, inspects, and documents incoming items and packing and shipping out going items
- Assists the warehousing team with government inspections
- Conducts various administrative duties to include note taking, managing schedules, contact list, calendars, copying, filing, prepare documents, spreadsheets, and other similar duties
- Works with designated project managers on special projects, which may include research assignments, data tracking using Excel, assisting with creation of PowerPoint presentations, and other duties as assigned
- Coordinates and sets up meetings to include preparing and disseminating agendas; sending invitations; tracking invitation responses and recording attendance; preparing electronic presentations and Virtual Teleconference (VTC) equipment
- Prepares meeting rooms, prepare, review, and collate briefing materials
- Prepares and uploads all meeting agendas, meeting summaries and any actionable items to the SharePoint site
Qualifications:
- Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.”
- Must be currently enrolled in college or vocational/technical school
- Experience assisting in general office operations, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience in completing general administrative tasks in an academic or work setting, demonstrated organizational skills
- Desire to learn and gain experience in government contracting, which may encompass budget and financial work management, personnel management, reviewing Statement of Work (SOW), understanding the projects (records, proposals, subject matter experts, planning factors and/or training) and the direct impact they have on the operations and missions of our customers
- Possess software skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and Internet research abilities
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
- Effective use of interpersonal skills and ability to work independently

Pay Range (The pay range for this job level is provided as general guidance only, and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements (if any), and other laws): $14.38 - $24.38 Hourly
