Assistant Controller

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Controller to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise dealership accounting policies, procedures, and standards
• Support management in establishing financial objectives for the branch and each profit and cost center
• Assist management in scrutinizing financial standards and recommend appropriate action when necessary
• Oversee general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing
• Assist with the management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization
• Supervise accounting staff, assign tasks, and provide guidance
• Collaborate with external auditors to expedite the audit process by supplying necessary documentation and explanations
• Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Ensure financial records are maintained in line with GAAP
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Experience with Concur is beneficial
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports is essential
• Understanding of DCAA is a must
• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions efficiently
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Experience in Auditing is critical
• Capability to handle Billing Functions effectively
• Background in Public Accounting Audit is preferred
• Knowledge in Lease Accounting is needed
• Experience in conducting Internal Audit is crucial
