Overview:

A house manager/ personal assistant is immediately sought for a high-end home on a beautiful 50-acre estate in Akron, Ohio. The schedule would likely be 24-40 hours per week, to be discussed with prospective candidates in line with their ideal needs - the client will accommodate either a part-time or full-time schedule for the perfect candidate.

This is a new role, so an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to make it their own. Only local candidates are eligible to apply at this time.

Responsibilities:

The principals are seeking a seasoned candidate who can facilitate a sense of concierge living in their home.
  • Key responsibilities include management of staff (currently; a caretaker and 2 locally-sourced housekeepers), maintenance of calendars for both principals, travel management, supervision of event preparation & clean-up (events range from 20-300 people), ensuring regular maintenance of the property (which includes high-end, curated art and sculptures), ensuring adequate inventory of supplies, laundry and closet management (in collaboration with the housekeeping team), training the housekeeping team in line with more of a concierge level of service, and providing top-notch personal assistance to the owners
  • Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to the estate, family, and visitors
  • Drawing up a household manual and implementing household protocols

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years’ verifiable experience in the hospitality sector and/or in property, private estate, or house management
  • A college degree and knowledge of literature/ art and the finer things in life
  • Proficiency with scheduling technology, including project management tools
  • Must have a strong commitment to working collaboratively with owners, staff, vendors, and visitors
  • Candidates should be personable, kind, and supremely organized
  • Cooking skills are a huge plus

Requirements:

  • US passport, Green Card, or EAC
  • Clean and current driving record
  • Passport ready and willing to travel (not presently required)
  • Be local to Akron, Ohio
  • Available to start ASAP
