We are searching for a talented Laboratory Lead Technologist
Hours: 40hrs
Shift: Day shift with no more than one weekend per month and one major Holiday per year.; flexible start times from 6:00am - 8:00am
Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Responsibilities:Under general direction of the Manager, Laboratory Site or designee, perform various duties to support and in support of the Laboratory/Pathology Department. Perform laboratory analyses and identify critical or unexpected results, consult with vendors to troubleshoot malfunctions, investigate all incidents, document and report all findings.
Serve as department resource, prioritize and schedule staff assignments, prepare and present at least 4 in-service trainings annually, and insure compliance with all safety regulations and standards including POC programs and OSHA regulations.
Perform other related duties within the scope of position as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent (minimum of 36 semester hours in biology and physical sciences) and up to and including three years of work-related experience.
- Certification as Medical Technologist such as MT (A.S.C.P.) or comparable agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying agencies is required upon date of hire and if applicable maintain certification through ASCP or comparable approved agency.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay Range: USD $37.37 - USD $49.32 /Hr.
Rotation Schedule Requirement : No more than one weekend per month and one major Holiday per year.
