Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk who will work closely with the AP Lead to be responsible for processing invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Process outgoing payments in compliance with company policies and procedures
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
Understands expense accounts and GL codes
Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
Process freight invoices such as UPS, DHL and FedEx
Process expense reports
Process credit card statements monthly using MS Excel
Other tasks as needed or assigned.

Requirements

Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
Proven ability to calculate and manage accounting figures
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Great time management and organizational skills
High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Must be reliable and trustworthy

COMPENSATION: $25.00 -$30.00 hourly
