Under the direction of the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Administrator position responsibilities involve the day-to-day administration of employee health and welfare benefit plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and other group insurance programs.

The Benefits Administrator provides excellent customer service to our associates and partnership with our internal departments and outside vendors in our goal to provide comprehensive health and welfare plans to our associates and timely resolution to inquiries.

salary: $26 - $28 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities
  • -Administer health & welfare benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and special projects.
  • Working knowledge of the benefits audit process.
  • Assist employees with resolving benefits related issues.
  • Process life insurance claims and assists beneficiaries with application process.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues
  • Prepare, process and reconcile Benefits invoices.
  • Compile COBRA eligibility information and provide it to 3 rd Party.
  • Process National Medical Support Orders.
  • Communicate company policies and procedures related to benefits to facility HR associates.
  • Assist with new hire orientation.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment
  • Generate reports as needed.
  • Handle returned mail.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Finance or other related field
  • A minimum of 2 years Benefits experience in an organization.
  • Clear understanding of benefit terminology and various laws and regulations
  • Oracle experience preferred.
  • Experience in a union environment preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-state environment preferred.
  • Intermediate excel required.
