Engineering Technician - Facilities Technician

Summary:

Performs moderate to complex repairs of 3D printers, working directly with the supervisor and Vendor Service department. Looking for someone to work Primarily in 3D printing room. Must have strong communication skills and some type of hands on skillset, Electromechanical

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Assists Engineering in the planning, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Testing of mechanical and electrical components
• Completes engineering tasks
• 3D printing machine diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Performs routine and day to day maintenance
• Failure analysis
• Machining uptime
• Performs repairs using maintenance inspection forms
• Supports Facility Department

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to use basic hand tools, Multimeter, Micrometer
• Works under minimal supervision
• Has solid working knowledge 3D Printing
• Coordinates between departments
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats.
• Read, comprehend, and work from plans and operating instructions.
• Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.
• Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting the Facilities standards for maintenance.
• Demonstrated time management skills and including multi-tasking.
• Works independently with limited supervision.

• High school Diploma; 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus. Proficient understanding of Dental Terminology.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence.
• Ability to write simple notes.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

• Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in a production environment operate light equipment and tools.
• Lifting of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. or more when lifting in pairs; manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard, grasp writing materials; strength to grasp hand and power tools.
• Good balance is required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear, stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arm and to reach above shoulder height.
• The employee is required to handle various types of power and manual equipment, operate machinery. work near moving mechanical parts.
