You will also have the opportunity to interact with various stakeholders, including our Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the financial affairs of the organization, ensuring all accounting functions are performed accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare for audits and maintain financial systems/reporting, including but not limited to, the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Oversee endowment fund accounting and payroll systems, ensuring they align with organizational standards and regulations.
• Serve as a staff liaison to the Board of Trustees, providing them with necessary financial information and updates.
• Assist with financial matters, providing guidance on payroll, budgeting, and investment strategies.
• Review financial statistics included in reports for accuracy.
• Utilize skills in Non-profit Accounting, QuickBooks, General Journal, Journal Entries, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) to perform and manage various accounting tasks.
• Ensure all accounting practices adhere to the principles of Fund Accounting - Non-Profit.
• Prepare journal entries as needed to maintain accurate financial records.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position.
• Proficiency in Accounting Functions, Auditing, and Budget Processes is required.
• Experience in Non-profit Accounting and Fund Accounting - Non-Profit is preferred.
• Must be adept in using QuickBooks for financial transactions and reporting.
• Familiarity with General Journal, Journal Entries, Journal Entry, and Journal Entry Preparation is essential.
• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• The ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections is crucial.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills are necessary.
• Must have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; a master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• Must have a strong ethical framework and unquestionable integrity.
