Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, invoicing, and customer collections.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Month-end and Year-end Close: Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made and financial reports are finalized.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of cash transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, and track performance against budgetary targets.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax filings and work with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong background in general ledger management, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Accounting Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and tax regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, management, and external partners.
