Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager

The candidate will work as a peer with other water/wastewater practitioners throughout the company to manage a range of civil engineering projects for both public sector utility and private clients (water and wastewater). With support from the enterprise, successful candidate will be capable of participating in business development activities, pursuing new clients and potential project leads, preparing proposals and preparing price proposals and contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Management of NC DOT or Municipal water and wastewater design projects.
• Pump station design, inflow and infiltration studies, hydraulic modeling, collection system condition assessment and design, water distribution and storage, with potential opportunities to engage on treatment projects.
• Lead and facilitate engineering design staff.
• Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
• Participate in business development activities including collaborating with our team in the marketing of new projects, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.

Required Skills & Required Experience:

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering field or related field.
• NC Professional Engineering license.
• 10+ years’ experience with increasing levels of project responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.
• Successful track record of maintaining relationships with clients in the Raleigh market.
• Extensive technical experience in the design of wastewater conveyance systems and pump stations, water distribution and storage.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, and Microsoft office. Experience with Microstation is a plus.
• Water/Wastewater treatment experience is a plus.
• A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
