Job Title: Systems Administrator
Supervisor: Systems and Development Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full time; Shift (4-10’s) or (5-8’s) Onsite

POSITION SUMMARY

Work independently with minimal supervision providing systems administration for the Infrastructure and Deactivation & Remediation contractors at the Paducah site as well as the DOE site office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties may be assigned.)
  • Provide primary support and management of the IT server infrastructure and hosted systems.
  • Modify, troubleshoot, and analyze on systems for SSI
  • Support first-tier technical staff with the resolution of more complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
  • Analyze and resolve hardware and software problems for end users, with primary emphasis on server-related issues.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for IT staff.
  • Recommend hardware and software solutions to meet end user and IT needs.
  • Support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation in coordination with the Cyber Security Team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • None
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND KEY COMPETENCIES
  • A. or B.S. from an accredited university with emphasis in computer science preferred
  • Three years directly applicable experience preferred
  • VMware Horizon View 8, v Center, v Sphere, esxi 7.0.
  • HYCU Backup & Replication, Disaster recovery/contingency planning.
  • Nutanix hypervisor, hyper-converged storage systems
  • Microsoft Server Operating System (OS) (Server 2016, Server 2019).
  • DFS Namespace and Replication, Print services, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
  • Microsoft Certificate Authority, SSL certificates.
  • Office 365, Exchange 2016, Teams, Share Point 2016.
  • Microsoft System Center 2203, Patch management, OS deployments.
  • PRTG or Whats Up Gold monitoring solutions.
  • MCP, MCSE, VMware VCP preferred.
TRAINING, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must be a citizen of the United States and authorized to work in the US
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “L” security clearance
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government vehicle
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to meet physical capacity requirements of position as determined by the Occupational Medical Provider.
  • Must be able to wear company-provided personal protection equipment when required.
