Overview:
Under the direction of the Casino Accounting Manager, the incumbent is responsible for preparing financial statements for gaming/casino areas.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the auditing of daily work from the casino floor in compliance with the N.J.A.C 13:69D regulations.
- Prepares statistical reports required by regulation and for internal use.
- Prepares bank reconciliations.
- Prepares detailed account analysis.
- Analyzes fluctuations in departmental results and variances from budgets.
- Assists with maintenance of reports.
- Assists with maintenance of accounting system.
- Responsible for performing the following audits:
- Prepare Daily Operating Revenue
- Slot Audit
- Prepare Monthly tax transmittals
- Prepare Gross Revenue Tax transmittals
- SDS Accounting
- Retail Sports Revenue
- Internet Gaming Revenue
- ePromo promotional wagering
- W2G’s/1042S forms and calculating taxes withheld payouts semi-weekly for the IRS
- Bill Changer reporting to Division of Gaming Enforcement
- Mail-ins and return payments
- Learns new audits as new games or procedures are introduced to the casino
- Prepare invoices for all external partners on a monthly basis, as well as coordinating with the Finance Team the receipt of external funds.
- Receive and audit all invoices from third-party providers to ensure that funds owed to external companies are accurate
- Audit and ensure that all regulatory reports are accurate, and work with the Revenue Certification Unit within the DGE to ensure that all regulatory reports are meeting the set standards by the Division
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual DGE reports, monthly journal entries and account analysis
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.

- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting required as well as one (1) to three (3) years of similar accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Knowledge of hotel casino operations preferred
- Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
