Staff Accountant (Construction) - Robert Half

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank, AP/AR, and general ledger accounts.
• Collaborate on monthly and annual financial closings, assisting with reporting and auditing processes.
• Review and track project budgets, working closely with project managers to monitor expenditures.
• Process and verify invoices while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain financial records and assist with ad hoc reporting as needed.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or related industries.
• Familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Procore) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience required.
