Position Hours: FULLTIME 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday)Or
2nd shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
17% shift premium for 2nd
Or
3rd shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Monday - Friday)
13% shift premium included for 3rd
Position Wage: Starting at $20 per hour (plus based on experience)

Job Description: The general operator's role is to have a working knowledge of how to safely operate the
blasting/load make-up cell, the aluminum furnaces, and the atmospheric furnaces.
Responsibilities will include working in several different production areas when needed and
being adaptable to fulfill the needs of fellow team members. Properly inspecting, programing amp; monitoring furnaces will be the focus for this role. Promptly reporting any concerns to the shiftforeman will be crucial.
Principle Duties amp; Responsibilities: Blasting/Load make-up- Be knowledgeable in amp; enforce racking amp; loading procedures, tagging procedure, amp; lot
- Safe amp; efficient operations of all production equipment
- Prioritize processing based on schedule
- Perform inspection using correct methods
- Document amp; report any maintenance issues to shift foreman
- Monitor amp; program all furnaces to process correct parameters
- Must complete all phases of Blaster amp; Load Set Up Operator
- Walk through the shop once an hour to inspect each furnace for accuracy amp; ensure their
- Understand the processing of all material within production areas
- Ensure plant organization and cleanliness
- Safe and efficient operation of aluminum furnaces
- Prioritize processing based on production schedule
- Perform inspection using the correct methods
- Package parts safely for shipment to prevent damage
- Report any maintenance issues to shift foreman
- Perform periodic maintenance such as draining amp; refilling the quench tank
- Monitor amp; program all furnaces to process correct parameters
- Understand the processing of all material within production areas
- Ensure plant organization amp; cleanliness
- Operator will be responsible for the following set up amp; monitoring
o Over-temperature controller
o Chart recorders
o Furnace thermo-couples
o Proper gas flows including the following: ▪ Natural gas
▪ Endothermic gas▪ Nitrogen gas
▪ Ammonia gas
- Oil temperature monitoring – cooling / heating / levels
- Agitation monitoring
- Proper loading amp; racking of parts to minimize distortion
- Understand tempering guidelines based off actual AQ hardness readings
- Learn start up, loading amp; shut down procedures for each piece of equipment in cell
- Operator will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the generator including
but not limited to the following:
o Startup/shut down procedureo Daily monitoring of retort temperature amp; dewpoint
- Determine proper inspection location for AQ testing per
o ASTM E-10 Brinell hardness testing
o ASTM A 956 Leeb hardness testing
- Understand Tagging amp; Transfer Procedure
- Safe amp; efficient operations of all production equipment
- Prioritize processing based on production schedule
- Perform inspection using the correct methods
- Document amp; report any maintenance issues to shift foreman
- Ensure plant organization amp; cleanliness
Minimum Requirements: All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test amp; background check.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred- Acquire/maintain forklift certification
Experience: Prior factory work preferred
