General Purpose:
Performs electrical assembly operations to produce components and finished product by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble electrical or mechanical systems by installing components, subassemblies, and wiring to NEC
standards.
Adjust, repair, or replace electrical component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to
specifications.
Performs any assemblytype functions, using hand, power tools, equipment and testing
instrumentation.
Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
Safely operates any equipment needed to perform job within the assembly.
Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to
determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
Drill, tap, punch holes in specified equipment locations to mount components or to provide openings for
wiring or instruments.
Inspect or test wiring installations and assemblies for product conformance
Utilize production job schedules, and confer with supervisors/leads, to determine work priorities.
Record production data such labor time and quantities using ERP system.
Inform supervisors/leads of equipment malfunctions that need to be addressed.
Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and work stations on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:
High school education or equivalent and two years related assembly experience, including panel wiring
and conduit installation.
Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, production/assembly
instructions, parts lists, verbal instruction and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of
components.
Ability to apply previous experience and sound assembly techniques to perform detailed written or oral
instructions.
Works with limited supervision to assemble units of moderate complexity.
Ability to use measuring devices e.g.tape measure, multimeter

The employee is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, talk and hear.
This job requires full manual dexterity with both hands.
Hand strength is important for operating wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25
pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include color acuity, close vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and the ability to adjust focus.
