Controller

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Controller based in Dedham, Massachusetts, 02026, United States. As a Controller, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth financial operations, ranging from maintaining banking relationships to managing company travel and expense policies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly and quarterly closing processes, including posting monthly accruals and performing general account reconciliations.
• Support timely reporting by assisting in the coordination of monthly close and production of financial statements.
• Contribute to the preparation and coordination of journal entries to the general ledger.
• Aid in the preparation of financial statements, and related support for quarterly reviews, and annual audits.
• Oversee banking relationships to ensure effective financial management.
• Enhance the integrity of data in the fixed asset system by implementing a process to ensure all assets are tagged upon receipt and coordinating with other departments when assets are transferred or disposed of.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Ability to handle Month End Close
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting
• Experience in Cash Reconciliations
• Skill in performing Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Ability to prepare and review Corporate Tax Return
