About the job

The Customer Intelligence R&D team is looking for a Java Software Developer to work on our newest Customer Journeys offering. Journeys is a full SaaS, value stream aligned team orchestrating work in multiple development layers from UI to mid-service layer down to cloud database and eventing.

Working on new software is an opportunity to try new things, experiment and grow, and quickly incorporate customer feedback incrementally through rapid deployment.

As a Software Developer, you will:

  • Design and develop high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to CI360 best practices and processes
  • Ensure solutions meet the highest data security guidelines and are consistent with R&D standards
  • Participates in project scoping and scheduling; tracks progress of individual tasks and alerts stakeholders of issues blocking or preventing completion of task.
  • Ensures quality through functional, unit and performance testing
  • Maintains accountability for the entire life cycle of the code including support for both internal and external consumers
  • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.
Required Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of experience developing enterprise-level solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience with the Java programming language
  • Familiarity with microservices and/or data processing systems
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, or similar cloud offerings
  • Strong testing automation experience, preferably in *unit frameworks

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building DevOps-enabled software solutions
  • Experience with container management systems, such as Kubernetes
  • Experience building streaming data processing systems such as Kafka
  • Usage of Git, GitHub, GitLab, and/or Jenkins
  • Experience with the Python programming language
  • Thorough knowledge of additional AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, ECR/ECS, SQS, SNS, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, etc.)
