Manufacturing Systems Integration Specialist

Overview:

The Manufacturing Integration Systems Specialist is responsible for the integration of manufacturing floor data between plant systems and with enterprise business systems. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of integration projects, ensuring that raw data from manufacturing processes, such as extrusion, machining, and casting, is accurately captured, transformed, and integrated with enterprise systems.
It also involves Tier-2 technical support of key manufacturing software applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and be skilled in project management to ensure timely and efficient implementation of integration solutions.

This role reports into the Manufacturing Systems Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • System Integration: Design, develop, and implement integration solutions to connect manufacturing floor data with enterprise-level systems.
  • Data Management: Ensure the accurate collection, transformation, and storage of data from manufacturing processes such as extrusion, machining, and casting.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage integration projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for integration solutions, addressing any issues related to data flow and system performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, IT, and other relevant departments to understand data requirements and ensure seamless integration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in the integration of manufacturing data, implementing best practices to enhance system efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all integration processes, configurations, and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in system integration within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with extrusion, machining, and casting processes is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or system integration are a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in integration technologies and tools (e.g., APIs, middleware, T-SQL, ETL processes).
o Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
o Strong understanding of data management, including data collection, transformation, and storage.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing projects, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
o Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work in a collaborative environment.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

o Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
