Sr. Business Information Analyst

Job Description:

• 8-11 Years Experience
• Strong demonstrated analytical skills applied to business software solutions maintenance and/or development.
• Knowledge of the software development standards and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to find efficiencies and improve processes.
• Proven ability to determine systemic process faults and improve overall process performance across organizations.
• Understanding of claims adjudication, particularly in a health care environment
• Understanding of health industry diagnosis, procedure and revenue codes and their application
• Strong business analytical skills.
• Strong process analysis skills
• Strong process documentation skills
• Excellent communication/writing skills,
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attentive to detail, highly -organized, and able to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred:

• Experience with claims adjudication in the Federal Employee Program Health Benefit Plan
• Experience working on a Machine Learning or Data Science project
• Experience in a software application development environment in an analytical role
• Bachelors (Health administration; business administration; software engineering or related degree required)

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of BI tools such as MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects, or Cognos.
• Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools is required
• Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
• Proven experience with gathering and documenting information requirements for healthcare projects
• Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
• Professional image with the ability to form good partner relationships across functions
• Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes
• Experience working on data warehouse deployments
• Eight to Ten years of BI, data analysis or related experience in Healthcare Payer Business
• Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications in agile

methodology using tools like HPE-Agile Manager
