Sr. UX Designer, Cost Engineering Tools

Engineering Automation Software, which is part of Vehicle Engineering, is responsible for making the tools these Engineers use every bit as intelligent and dynamic as the products themselves.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll conceptualize and implement best-in-class employee software, leveraging exceptional design skills, creative problem-solving, and a strong aesthetic sense to enhance Tesla's employee experiences.

• Research and define UX strategy, contribute to the overall product and design direction from concept to implementation
• Develop creative and innovative design solutions for employee experiences that help guide various types of our employees from different backgrounds and with different requirements
• Constantly measure how designs are performing for target customers; iterate and improve those experiences as needed
• Work in a highly collaborative environment with Engineers and other partners; invest in building relationships and trust with stakeholders and leaders
• Present work to partners, stakeholders and senior leaders regularly
• Define and share Tesla UX design standards and guidelines. Advocate for consistency across team members and partners
• Degree in the study of design, portfolio that shows equivalent project experience or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience designing interactive applications for web; flexible based on strong experience
• An excellent portfolio showcasing user experience, visual design and UI work with a strong design sensibility and excellent, user centric storytelling
• Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills, ability to think through complex interaction design
• Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform in a fast paced, high stress iterative design process under minimal supervision
