Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Streamlining accounting operations through the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance accuracy
• Overseeing the accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and company policies
• Preparing and reviewing profit and loss (P& L) statements to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Analyzing key P& L components, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization
• Collaborating to improve the company’s financial performance through data-driven recommendations
• Developing and maintaining financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review
• Performing variance analysis and explaining budget-to-actual results for operational and executive teams
• Contributing to strategic forecasting and budgeting processes

The ideal Senior Accountant is required to have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA highly preferred.

Other requirements for the Senior Accountant role include and are not limited to:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including P& L management and financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
