About Us

Neurodiagnostic tests study and record the electrical activity in the brain and nervous system. Here at Elliot, tests are performed by experienced technologists on all new state-of-the-art digital equipment. The Neurophysiology Department has full-time, professionally trained neurophysiological technologists on staff, and neurologists to interpret all studies.

Position Summary

To perform EEG tests as requested by physician. Techs assist with inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory studies with patients of all ages. Patients ages range from Neonatal to Geriatric throughout all areas of our health system.

• Perform EEG tests as requested by physician.
• Gather patient medical history, explain testing procedures and prepare the patient for procedure.
• Monitors the patient’s status and notes any abnormalities during testing.
• Reports findings to physician once testing is complete for further analysis.
• Enters appropriate data in computer modules.
• Verifies department inventory levels and reorders additional supplies as needed.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree in Clinical Neurophysiology preferred.
• Experience: Previous healthcare/ EEG experience preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: EEG Certification required. Registered EEG Technician preferred. BLS authorization preferred or obtained within 90 days of date of hire.
