Olivia Quinlan from Robert Half is hiring for a VP of IT based in Buffalo, New York.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing and managing application systems
• Data management
• Responsible for applications both in-house developed solutions
• Responsible for the configuration of packaged products created by third parties, or configuration, implementation, and support of cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with the leadership teams and the various IT functional areas
• Work with outside consultants that will serve the agencies business needs now and, in the future
• Responsible for overseeing the hiring, training and supervision of all staff in coordination with Chief Information Officer and Security Officer
• Prepare and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Analyze and recommend technology investments that provide strategic benefits
• Establish and enforce IT security policies and best practices to protect company data and digital assets.
• Manage IT projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or relevant IT leadership positions
• Operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Database management (SQL, Oracle)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity measures and network security protocols.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
