Responsibilities:
Assembler I Position Summary
Perform assembly and packaging of components into products for the medical industry. This position will be based out of our facility located in west Bloomington, Minnesota (55438).
Assembler I Duties and Responsibilities- Inspect, assemble, and package medical devices and components
- Use tray, band, and impulse sealers
- Work with chemicals (Isopropyl Alcohol, solvents, detergents, etc.) as needed to clean work area
- Ensure products are handled and assembled per Quality Tech Services' Quality Systems Procedure(s)
- Adhere to cGMP and ISO regulations
- Competent on all tray, band and impulse sealers
- Responsible for maintaining an awareness of workplace safety and OSHA regulations and relevant training
- Responsible for proper documentation necessary to complete job
- Assist with weekly cleaning of production area(s) and cleaning of common areas
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Assembler I Requirements/Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Able to work required 2nd shift hours: Monday-Thursday 2:45pm-1:15am CT
- Able to work overtime as needed (on Fridays or at least one weekend day)
- Able to read, speak and understand English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Able to work in a clean room environment, including working with chemicals as needed to clean work areas and components (Isopropyl Alcohol, solvents, detergents, etc.).
- Able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work overtime as needed (staying later during the week days or at least one weekend day)
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Assembly, clean room or manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing Methodologies.
- Previous work experience in a clean room environment.
- Knowledge or training pertaining to cGMP and ISO regulations.
- Clean room practices, including gowning.
