IT Program Manager (GSA) - Herndon
Overview:
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and success of the multi-component IT solution implementation project including day-to-day team and task management, deliverables, customer relationship management, customer and internal reporting, scope and cost control, team management, staffing, profitability, and issue resolution.
***Although this is primarily a remote position, candidates must be located in or around the DC Metro area and be able to attend on-site meetings as required.***
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall performance, quality, schedule, and cost of the contract.
- Lead teams using an Agile methodology, across multiple interrelated project workstreams to ensure their deliverables are coordinated, on budget and on time.
- Analyze business needs and work with cross functional (technical & non-technical) teams to deliver enterprise solutions focusing on enterprise data warehousing, AI /ML model application, data management (e.g. data cleanse, wrangle, model set up, testing, deployment), API integration etc.
- Gather, define, and track requirements, coordinate and facilitate meetings and technical discussions, and translate and brief technical concepts and requirements to non-technical audiences including client users, vendor partners and other stakeholders.
- Establish working relations at all organizational levels and to diplomatically and effectively work with government and program office stakeholders.
- Provide technical and financial reports in order to document progress to the client and vendor partners.
- Manage and ensure all project issues are resolved promptly to avoid negative impact to the budget or schedule.
- Work together with the engagement manager to ensure client satisfaction and delivery quality.
- Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Qualifications and Education:
Required:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology management, engineering, or comparable degree. Experience may be substituted for education.
- 15+ years of experience in IT project management leading delivery of software development and modernization efforts -- cloud, automation platforms, enterprise data, and open-source tech stacks.
- 7 year’s experience managing large IT projects following Agile and DevSecOps practices - 8 to 10 scrum teams, 75+ FTEs
- 7+ years experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, MS Azure, GCP
- 3+ years experience utilizing SAFe Agile
- Demonstrated experience leading AI/ML implementations
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred:
- Active SAFe Certification.
- Demonstrated experience using JIRA
Compensation:
In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $190,000 to $235,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
