Purpose

In this role, you will support the evolution of the Origin Green programme through the Producer Standard at farm level. This role will drive continuous improvement of scheme operation and supports offered to members and key stakeholders at producer level.

What you’ll do
  1. Act as a first point of contact for Primary Producer Scheme members for assigned scopes (e.g. Monogastric species), to assist members in addressing queries and issues arising, handling complaints and reporting sector feedback into the team and manager
  2. Lead Farmer and stakeholder engagement for the Primary Producer standard for assigned scopes. Establish clear lines of communication with relevant farm organisation, state agencies and competent authority personnel (DAFM, EPA, FSAI etc).
  3. Drive improvement of the systems used to support scheme members such as web-based portals and support tools/materials available therein.
  4. Prepare for and co-ordinate internal audits and inspections for responsible scopes liaising with audit bodies
  5. Develop and manage Integrity programmes for assigned scopes
  6. Assist with the implementation and adoption of revisions to Primary Producer schemes.
  7. Maintain all necessary records of Quality Assurance & Origin Green Technical personnel for responsible scopes such as auditors, audit bodies, reviewers, consultants, TAC members on the database, including training, qualifications, confidentiality agreements and as per GDPR
  8. Assist the Standard Development team with the establishment of relevant criteria for new standards, organising training in revised standards for auditors, reviewers and scheme participants and scheme administration bodies
  9. Identify and attend important sectoral forums to drive better member engagement and understanding in OGSQA. Provide specific sector scheme information and data in the form of updates to the Standards and Development team, Head of Operations and team members for input into Quality Assurance operational reports and presentations
  10. Contribute to the identification of and implement, in collaboration with Manager, priority projects to improve the effectiveness of scheme operations and track progress using Bord Bia project management tools.
  11. Manage the financial administration around OGSQA certification programmes such as raising PO’s and managing supplier invoices and stakeholder queries in line with Bord Bia policies and systems.

About You

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

Knowledge:

  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of Bord Bia Standards in relevant area.

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Organisational skills and time management
  • Strong IT skills across a wide range of software applications, including team collaboration tools, Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Complaint Handling skills
  • Clear and tactful communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good data analysis and reporting skills to accurately present data for key stakeholders

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of project management methodology

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Strong numerical and budget management skills.
  • Good understanding of database structures.

  2. Rannpháirtíocht feirmeoirí agus páirtithe leasmhara a threorú i dtaca le caighdeán na dTáirgeoirí Príomhúla le haghaidh scóipeanna sannta. Línte soiléire cumarsáide a bhunú leis an eagraíocht feirme ábhartha, le gníomhaireachtaí stáit agus le pearsanra údaráis inniúil (an Roinn Talmhaíochta, Bia agus Mara, an Ghníomhaireacht um Chaomhnú Comhshaoil, Údarás Sábháilteachta Bia na hÉireann, srl).
