Intern - Economics, SCOT Forecasting

We are looking for detail-oriented, organized, and responsible individuals who are eager to apply their talents and skills to help develop state of the art forecasting models and estimate them on large and complicated data sets. Knowledge of time series econometrics and experience with Python are necessary; familiarity with MATLAB and Bayesian estimation techniques, especially for state space models, are preferable.

These are full-time positions at 40 hours per week, with compensation being awarded on an hourly basis. You will learn how to build data sets and perform applied times series analysis and forecasting at Internet speed collaborating with economists, scientists, and product managers.

These skills will translate well into writing applied chapters in your dissertation and provide you with work experience that may help you with placement.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
