Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the management functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care. Supervises staff while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and unit specific expertise.Specific duties include directing patient care activities, implementing work place changes; monitoring unit budgets, and participating on performance improvement projects. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and others.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science, Nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Basic Life Support
- Registered Nurse
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well with in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role which may include a project, shared governance chair, charge nurse, etc.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
