Staff Accountant

In this role, you will perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every single day:

• Responsible for Account Payables including utility bills, maintenance bills, insurance bills, real estate tax bills, and other items.
• Record daily transactions for various rental entities, including but not limited to, bill payments, mortgage, insurance, payroll, and distributions.
• Bank reconciliation for all accounts, with a commitment to reconcile bills on a daily and monthly basis.
• Aid in the generation and distribution of financial statements at the end of every month and as needed.
• Oversee clerical tasks, manage files, send mail & e-mails, copies, print & scanning documents, prepare reports, research items, and such.
• Correspond with tenants for renewals, requests, new leases, utilities, and other items.

The ideal Staff Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant position include and are not limited to:

• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Prior bookkeeping knowledge is required
• General knowledge of GAAP preferred
• Experience with Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop required
• AppFolio preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
