We are looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Aquatic Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) specializing in aquatic therapy, you will work with clients in a water-based rehabilitation setting to promote physical healing, strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.The ideal candidate will have experience in aquatic therapy and a passion for working with diverse populations to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals. Candidate must know that scheduling of patients may take place outside of aquatic environment pending patient and caseload needs

Responsibilities:
- The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Key Responsibilities:
- Aquatic Therapy Sessions: Assist in the delivery of therapeutic aquatic interventions for clients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal disorders. Administer and assist in developing individualized aquatic therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
- Exercise Instruction: Instruct and guide clients through therapeutic exercises and activities in the water, ensuring proper technique, safety, and progression according to their specific rehabilitation needs.
- Patient Assessment: Assist with initial patient evaluations and ongoing assessments to monitor progress, identify limitations, and adjust therapy plans as necessary, in collaboration with the supervising Physical Therapist.

- Patient Assessment: Assist with initial patient evaluations and ongoing assessments to monitor progress, identify limitations, and adjust therapy plans as necessary, in collaboration with the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Patient Education: Educate clients and their families about the benefits of aquatic therapy, home exercise programs, and general wellness strategies to promote long-term recovery and independence.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in patient condition. Ensure compliance with clinic policies, regulations, and best practices in aquatic therapy.
- Equipment Management: Ensure proper setup and maintenance of aquatic therapy equipment, such as flotation devices, resistance tools, and pool accessories. Monitor the safety and cleanliness of the aquatic environment to maintain a safe therapy space.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and rehabilitation aides, to ensure integrated and effective care.
- Client Motivation: Provide encouragement and support to clients throughout the therapy process, helping them stay motivated and engaged in their rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications:
- Education and Training: PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides. Current BLS certification required.
- Experience: One year of clinical experience preferred. Experience working with patients across various rehabilitation stages, including post-surgical, injury recovery, or chronic condition management.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aquatic therapy or specialized aquatic certifications (e.g., Aquatic Exercise Association or other relevant credentials).
