The Bar General Manager is responsible for the overall operation and success of our high-volume bar operation. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the business, including staff management, financial performance, business development, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.

Bar General Manager Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: -Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.

  • Create and maintain a positive and safe work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts promptly.
Financial Performance:
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and overhead expenses.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including P&L statements and budgets.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments.
Customer Experience:
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain customers.
Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and maintenance.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ensure compliance with all liquor laws, health codes, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.
Event Planning and Execution:
  • Plan and execute special events, such as live music nights, themed parties, and corporate functions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and attract attendees.
Risk Management:
  • Implement effective risk management strategies to minimize liability.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure safety and security.
Bar General Manager Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in the bar and hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and other relevant software.
