Duties, Responsibilities & Other:
KCI is hiring a Engineering Intern to join our Roadway Design team in Duluth, GA.
The intern will work under the supervision of a technical manager within one of KCI's many diverse consulting, engineering, scientific, or design practices to gain exposure to real world projects and daily work tasks.- Assist in the development of plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Assist in the design and analysis of engineering projects.
- Conduct research and gather data to support project development.
- Assist in the preparation technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
- Participate in site visits and field work.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions.
- Perform calculations and simulations using engineering software.
- Provide on-time delivery of project expectations with favorable feedback.
- Perform administrative or office management duties.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a college Engineering program.
- MicroStation or AutoCAD skills desired but not required.
- No experience required.
- Minimum GPA 3.0
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
