SUMMARY:
- The hourly Building Aide pay rate to work on assignment in West Shore School District is $17.10 per hour
- The Building Aide position will work on all student days during the school calendar year, 5 paid hours per day on full school days
- The Building Aide will assist the building principal and teachers in the performance of non-instructional tasks such as typing, filing, duplicating, and student supervision.
CURRENT BUILDING AIDE NEEDS:
- Hillside Elementary School (1)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs the following tasks: standing to copy, laminate, and collate; filing in a five-drawer file cabinet; handling and transporting up to ten reams of paper, printed material, etc., to office; preparing all copies for central duplication
- Prepares instructional-related materials for the teaching staff
- Monitors the cafeteria, ensuring an efficient, pleasant, and orderly atmosphere
- Assists in the health room in the absence of the nurse
- Compiles, submits, and distributes supplies for office and teachers
- Assumes the duties of the secretary as needed
- Assists the secretary with routine office duties
- Assists with in-house attendance procedures
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPRIENCE:
- High school diploma
- Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
CREDENTIALING :
(Clearances current within 12 months)- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
- TB Screening - current within 3 months
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
