We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the industry of finance, located in ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The role will involve handling accounts payable functions, processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the finance department with various duties.
Responsibilities- Processing invoices on a weekly basis
- Conducting account reconciliations
- Preparing bank deposits
- Building and maintaining relationships with vendors
- Providing support to the finance department with diverse tasks
- Utilizing skills in Account Coding, Concur, Accrual Accounting, Automated Clearing House (ACH), Abila MIP, Excel Formulas, and Check Processing
- Ensuring accurate record keeping of customer credit applications
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary
- Maintaining accurate customer credit records • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Proficient in Account Coding
- Demonstrated experience with Concur software
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes
- Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles
- Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
- Familiarity with Abila MIP software
- Proficient in using Excel Formulas for financial calculations
- Experience in Bank Deposit procedures and regulations
- Knowledge of Check Processing in a financial setting.
