Sitdown Forklift Operator
Location: Johnstown, OH
Job Type: Full-Time, [1st/2nd] Shift
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team in Johnstown. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience operating a propane-powered sit-down forklift in a warehouse or industrial environment. This role requires the ability to safely and efficiently handle materials, ensure accurate inventory, and maintain a clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move materials around the warehouse or production facility.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
- Transport materials to designated areas, following company safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure materials are in the correct locations.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate logs of materials handled and movement within the facility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience (sit-down, propane).
- Valid forklift certification (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Shift Availability:
- 1st shift or 2nd shift available, depending on the position.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
