Overview:

We offer an average of 30 hours per week which meets the eligibility requirement for insurance and full-time benefits. We anticipate some weeks when fewer than 30 hours are scheduled in this role. If you are interested and qualified you may accept additional hours in other roles within our hotel/company.

We are approaching our busier season so schedule flexibility is needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions.
  • Monitor food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.
  • Creatively accommodate special requests from guests.
  • Ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards.
  • Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
  • Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
  • Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.

Qualifications:

Previous food handling or prep/line experience is required. To be successful in this role, you need strong verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. This job requires you to stand and move around for an entire shift and you also must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

You must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit. Applicants must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work morning, evening and weekend shifts.
