Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting operations, with a focus on union payroll management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for unionized employees, adhering to labor agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and project management teams to forecast labor needs and optimize workforce utilization.
  • Maintain compliance with union regulations and reporting requirements, staying abreast of changes and updates in labor laws.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, offering insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in accounting management, with specific expertise in union payroll administration within the construction industry.
  • Thorough understanding of labor agreements, union regulations, and prevailing wage requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
