Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience in general ledger accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Analyze financial statements and ensure accuracy in reporting
• Maintain and update fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory reports
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation
• Collaborate with various departments to improve financial processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
