Attorney/Lawyer

We are seeking an Attorney/Lawyer, located in Clayton, Missouri, to join our team in the legal industry. In this position, you will primarily focus on education law and litigation practices. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging cases and changing laws, providing high-quality legal services to public and private schools, colleges, and universities.

• Engage in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys on legal matters including employment issues, investigations, student discipline, and special education.
• Address day-to-day issues with public and private education institutions, providing problem-solving expertise.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case proceedings and client counseling.
• Draft detailed pleadings and motions in accordance with legal guidelines.
• Manage and review discovery requests, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
• Respond to complaints from administrative agencies, providing legally sound solutions.
• Assist with client training and detail-oriented development programs to enhance legal understanding and compliance.
• Leverage Case Management Software and Billing Software for Attorneys to manage client cases and billing processes effectively.
• Apply skills in Civil Litigation, Document Management, and Briefing to handle varied legal responsibilities.
• Utilize licensed Attorney skills and knowledge in Education Law, Legal Research, Draft Pleadings, Discovery, Discovery Responses, Discovery Requests, and Administrative Law to deliver quality legal services. • Proficiency in Case Management Software to manage and track various cases effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in Document Management for efficient handling of legal documents.
• Experience in Briefing to communicate case details succinctly.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Civil Litigation.
• Familiarity with Billing Software for Attorneys to ensure accurate billing.
• Must be a Licensed Attorney, legally eligible to practice law.
• Specialized knowledge in Education Law.
• Strong skills in Legal Research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Ability to Draft Pleadings to formally start the legal process.
• Experience in handling Discovery, including gathering and disclosing information pertinent to a case.
• Proficiency in responding to Discovery Responses, comprehending and addressing the received information.
• Experience in making Discovery Requests to gather information from the opposition.
• Specialized knowledge in Administrative Law for handling cases related to government agencies.
