SUMMARY:
To administer and control manufacturing processes related to the manufacturing of Automotive Acoustic products. To develop methods/processes at the most cost-effective level while meeting the quality, quantity and long-term objectives of the company, assists in the maintenance of equipment tooling and facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Facility lay out/plant development / organization traffic flow
- Cell development and lay out of work areas and part /process flow
- Equipment development /vendor development
- Program management / timeline / updates
- Detail problem analysis / method, machine, man, process
- 5’S Kaizen team leader
- New program, equipment development Including automation and Poke Yoke
- Robot programming skills
- Continuous improvement event leader
- Program Review at quote stage
- Create process and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals
- Review manufacturing process against manufacturing standards
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
- College or secondary training in electronics and mechanics
- Auto Cad, Solid Works or other forms of design software
- Familiar with robot languages (Fanuc, ABB)
- Familiar with programming ABB, Automation direct and other interfaces.
- Secondary equipment design
- Must be able to work in a maintenance and plant environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience with emphasis on manufacturing engineering.
