Construction estimator
Construction Estimar opening for a Mechanical Contractor in Carrollton, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical installation. Any Commercial Construction Estimating experience is required. The estimator will take accurate quantities of ductwork, pipe, etc., and communicate effectively with customers, design professionals, subcontractors, vendors, and co-workers.

responsibilities:Project Estimation: Perform detailed estimates for mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, including material, labor, and equipment costs for construction projects.
Proficiency in Project Drawings: Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project takeoffs and cost estimates.
Computer Skills: Utilize various estimating software, spreadsheets, and email systems for the creation and submission of project bids, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Attention to Detail: Perform self-checks of all estimates to ensure completeness and precision, reducing errors and missed scope in bid submissions.
Multitasking and Time Management: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on deadlines, project importance, and workload.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, project-specific rules, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Quantity Takeoffs: Accurately calculate and document quantities of ductwork, piping, and other mechanical system components, ensuring precise estimates for all aspects of a project.
Effective Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with clients, design professionals, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to gather necessary information and clarify project scope.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
This role demands a balance of technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
