We are seeking an onsite Uni Verse Database Administrator with authorization to work in the United States.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and security.
This role requires a strong understanding of database administration principles, as well as proficiency in My SQL and PL/SQL. The Database Administrator will work closely with developers and IT staff to optimize database performance and support various applications.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain My SQL databases to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Perform regular database backups, recovery procedures, and data integrity checks.
  • Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning measures as needed.
  • Develop scripts for automation of routine tasks to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet application requirements.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure data security by implementing appropriate access controls and monitoring for unauthorized access.
  • Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
Experience
  • Proven experience in database administration with a focus on My SQL databases.
  • Strong knowledge of high availability concepts and implementations.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems is essential for managing server environments.
  • Experience with PL/SQL for writing complex queries and stored procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data trends and vaticinate potential issues before they arise.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to smash through challenges effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
