Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain My SQL databases to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Perform regular database backups, recovery procedures, and data integrity checks.
- Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning measures as needed.
- Develop scripts for automation of routine tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet application requirements.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure data security by implementing appropriate access controls and monitoring for unauthorized access.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
- Proven experience in database administration with a focus on My SQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of high availability concepts and implementations.
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is essential for managing server environments.
- Experience with PL/SQL for writing complex queries and stored procedures is preferred.
- Ability to analyze data trends and vaticinate potential issues before they arise.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to smash through challenges effectively.
